   The Fire Department is the first line of defense against fire, and the first response in an emergency. Training, an essential element in any organization, is a requirement that everyone takes very seriously and regularly attends. The department is organized to serve Timberon in the most effective and efficient manner possible, including 911 service. Each group of dedicated volunteers is a vital link in the success of this operation.
   The Fire Department is currently configured like this... 10 Communications volunteers, Medical Services 5 First Responders and 9 EMTs, 9 A-Team or traffic control, 3 Safety Officers, 16 Firemen, 6 Apparatus Operators, 2 Junior Members, 11Vehicles, and 8 phones for 911 calls.
   The Fire Department meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in the Fire Station, 27 Merlin Drive in Timberon. The office number is 505-987-2202.
